Learn from real patients and guests why you should choose Palo Alto Sub-Acute and Rehabilitation Center.
I was transferred to this facility following ankle replacement surgery at Stanford Health. I cannot commend the staff enough for their tireless efforts and dedication. This extends from the food service manager to the physical therapy, occupational therapy in speech therapy staff. I had many daily interactions with the Housekeeping staff, CNAs, LVNs, and RNs. All of them went out of their way to show interest and helpfulness during my rehab stay. I am not from the Palo Alto area, but thoroughly enjoyed the setting in this beautiful community. I want to extend my thanks to the staff, administration, and especially the social service members who were always positive and friendly.
{My uncle was taken here after his car accident. Admissions process was smooth, therapy was amazing, the nursing staff and CNA staff were attentive, and the discharge process was smooth. My family and I are extremely pleased with this facility.
{Getting sick is not easy for the individual or the family so I was really stressed out at first. This facility took great care and nursed my dad back to health. The amount of care they provided exceeded my expectations. The admissions team, nursing team, CNA team, and the discharge team was amazing. Shoutout to the therapy team for being awesome and amazing. Definitely would recommend this to those who are in need of this care.
{Honestly, what really makes this facility is the passionate employees! They are so welcoming and always have a smile on their face! once I arrived I spoke to an employee and sparked up a conversation and you can tell within the first two minutes how much the patients means to him! Even with the mask on you can tell he was always smiling! He Informed me about his history and how he loves working there! Since then it’s been really successful partnership! As time went by I was able to meet more employees and just amazing people.
{My grandpa was here for a few weeks of rehab and had quite an exceptional stay. The nursing staff were always helpful in answering our questions as we prepared to take him back home. The therapy team did a great job getting him back on his feet and helped teach our family how to meet his mobility needs at home. The facility and room were clean and the room temperature was always good. Really appreciate the team here for helping out my grandpa.
{Following multiple extensive surgeries at Stanford I spent a month at Palo Alto Sub-Acute. As a graduate prepared RN I found the care exceptional especially the in house wound care nurses, physicians and physical therapy team. As a vegetarian I was also impressed with the effort the kitchen staff took to provide me with the nutrition necessary to heal 3 separate surgical sites. The staff teamwork was constantly visible, positive and made for a therapeutic healing environment. I am grateful to have had the option to be in the facility minutes from my Stanford surgical team in the event of any complications which thankfully I did not have. This facility is absolutely the best and I have worked in nearly every area of nursing over a 35 year career. They do the important things very well!!!!
{My dad arrived at the Palo Alto rehab center with a fractured vertebra, in an unimaginable amount of pain, and unable to ambulate. They had him standing and walking unassisted after 4 weeks. The PT/OT team is truly unmatched. They were so motivating and fun, and so invested in his rehabilitation. The CNA’s and RN’s took such good care of him and were always so respectful in maintaining his sense of dignity. And the wonderful housekeeping and support staff kept his living space comfortable and clean, with always a smile and kind word. Having spent a month there, facility and the staff became something like family to us. All the above mentioned people were so good to us. We could never properly thank them enough for their kindness and for the quality care my dad received.
{Brought my grandfather here after a fall. I was here almost every day to attend rehab. The Occupational, Physical and Speech therapists are highly skilled, attentive, patient, and enthusiastic about their work. Generally, hands-on medical professionals are exhausted, but the attitude at Palo Alto Rehab is positive and lively. Overall, this is a well organized facility full of beautiful people in a beautiful neighborhood. The food is impressive for an 80 patient facility, I shared food with grandpa many times, and we ate every bite. The kitchen staff works very hard, and they do a great job providing 3 meals a day. Grandpa can’t wait to go back for a visit.
